2013 | International Art Academy Palestine.A course for the Dutch art academy Minerva on modern and contemporary art and propaganda. During the course various examples of the relation between art and propaganda will be reviewed, from art in dictatorial regimes like Nazi Germany to the political role of art in a democratic society. Departing from the book of Dutch artist Jonas Staal Post-Propaganda, we discuss various ways in which the relationship between art and politics can be given shape. In cooperation with Dutch artist Jonas Staal.

A series of lectures on arts and politics at the art academy Utrecht. The students studied and discussed ways in which art can appropriate an active role in the shaping of our political reality. Point of departure was Jonas Staal’s New World Summit, an alternative parliament that took place at the Berlin Biennale. Students were invited to partake in this project. Taught and set up in cooperation with Dutch artist Jonas Staal.
